This very old 25 year old Dalmore Single Malt was matured initially in white oak, it is then transfered to Palomino Fino sherry casks and first fill bourbon casks. These whiskies are then married together in bourbon barrels before being transfered for a final time in Tawny port casks. The aromas of exotic fruits with marzipan and vanilla, fig and sweet balsamic. The palate is rich with orange and chocolate layers, sweet plums and sherry soaked raisins. The finish is long as expected with brown sigar, maple syrup, dark chocolate and a hint of ginger spice.
