"70cl / 40.0% - This right here is the entry level expression from Glen Moray's Elgin Heritage range (a series of bottlings showing off the distillery's approachable flavour profile). It's a 12 year old single malt which has been aged exclusively in American oak casks."
A quality Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Elgin, the capital of Speyside, where the distillery has been producing fine malt whisky, distilled traditionally in copper stills, since 1897.
Ex-bourbon barrels from North America are used to mature the whiskies, giving Glen Moray its rich and spicy characteristics.
The 12 year is a mid-golden whisky that is smooth, warming, rounded and with a good firm body.
Sweet, malty flavours evolve around the centre of the palate, surrounded by fruits and toffee, finishing with blackcurrants, toffee and liquorice.
Awards: 2015 Silver Medal Winner in the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
Serving Instructions: Best served neat, with a drop of water or over ice.
